Fressnapf makes Christmas a feast for our four-legged friends

The feast of all feasts is just around the corner. And for anyone that wants to give presents and spoil not only their relatives, but also their pets, a visit to the Fressnapf store is very worthwhile. Europe’s biggest retail chain for pet food and accessories is again offering a major selection of Christmas specialities for the festive season.

Pet delicacy with a hint of Christmas
Anyone wanting to give their loved ones a festive treat will find menus in special Christmas editions at Fressnapf: for example, meat dishes for dogs with venison and cranberries or wild duck with apples from Premiere Best Meat. Dogs can dine in bio-quality at Christmas too: From BIOPLAN comes the “Winter Selection” with lamb and chunks of apple. The “Winter Selection” offers cats a truly tasty morsel with salmon and apple chunks. And the sausage snack with lamb and liver will have velvet-paw’s mouth watering too. “Game and poultry hearts with pear and hazelnut” or “Duck and shrimps with pumpkin and sesame” are the Christmas specialities from real nature’s Winterzauber range.

Taboo for our four-legged friends: a slice of the Christmas roast
“Dog and cat owners can often not bring themselves to let their four-legged friends simply look on while the family savours the festive menu”, explains Achim Schütz, company spokesman of Fressnapf. “Instead of giving Rover or Fluffy a piece of the Christmas roast, pet lovers would do better to pick up special festive menus for dogs or cats.” The reason is simple: These pet menus with a hint of Christmas are adapted optimally to the needs of pets. The Christmas roast, on the other hand, is often too fatty or much too strongly seasoned. And sweet delicacies from under the tree are also taboo for dog and cat. Because sweets cause diarrhoea and other health problems.

Fragrant times for that quiet spot
But even the best festive menu for the cat goes its inevitable way, and the lounge tiger needs to visit that quiet spot. For all those that want to forgo the unpleasant smells from the cat’s toilet, there is the MultiFit Deodorant line for cat litter. At Christmas, the assortment includes an additional aroma: “Winter Magic”. A fragrant concentrate based on winter spices will extend the useful life of any litter across the festive season.

75 percent of pet owners give their pets presents
Many pet owners not only fill their pet’s bowl with a festive delicacy. They make sure there’s a Christmas present for their animal companion under the Christmas tree too. Last year, Fressnapf surveyed pet owners in Germany and found out that around 75 percent of pet owners give presents to their pets at Christmas. The snacks from MultiFit naturelle in the varieties of chicken, duck, beef or salmon are ideal gifts for the lounge tiger. The snacks are festively packaged and can be fed to cats of any age. The Winterzauber gift box from real nature with 200 gram cans of the Winterzauber Edition and four 100-gram dishes offers a combination of pet food and a cat’s toy from the AniOne Natural collection. And to make sure that dogs do not go empty-handed, real nature has put together a gift box for dogs too. It contains 1.5 kilos of dry food and a selection of moist food. Especially popular is also the MultiFit Advent Calendar with delicacies for dogs, cats and rodents. The calendar motifs have also been printed on Christmas cans that the customer is given as a present when buying selected products.

From witty to valuable – pet presents for Christmas
The AniOne “Goody XMAS Toys” for dogs add a witty Christmas note under the Christmas tree: Dog owners can throw these robust soft toys in the form of a reindeer, snowman or a Santa Claus head when playing, for example, and animate their four-legged friend to romp around. Pet lovers that want to give something practical and especially valuable will be well advised with the elegant stainless steel food bar Dualo Ambiente from MORE4DOGS. It can be adjusted in angle so that dogs can eat without straining their back. Real winter eye-catchers are also in the fine Chamonix Collection of dog and cat accessoires in black and sky-blue, which are available exclusively from Fressnapf. A fleece coat, for instance, protects dogs against the cold in style and cats can curl up snugly in the reversible bed. The line is inspired by the flair of the skiing resort Chamonix.
