Fortune favours the bold
After a record year in 2008 with a 12.8 percent
increase in sales - more than 15 percent across Europe - Fressnapf again presented
excellent figures for the first quarter of 2009 in comparison to 2007 with an 8.3
percent increase in turnover. The trend for existing stores is also positive with
Fressnapf recording an increase of 3.8 percent. Fressnapf's Europe-wide figures are
also very good with an increase of 20.6 percent and 3.5 percent in existing stores. more...

New ideas for further growth
Fressnapf is extending its leading position in the
market with new store concepts and sales forms. The company is rolling out the "experience
shopping" concept with Megazoo, Kölle-Zoo and XXL stores to reach new
target groups, particularly in terraristics and aquaristics. Fressnapf is also on the road
to becoming a one-stop pet provider with a whole range of services. more...

Future Store
The Fressnapf "future store" opened in Ratingen in December 2008. This is the first of three Proof of Concept stores and will be tested for six months. Future stores represent a clean, emotionally appealing design, a bright layout, wide aisles and children's attractions.
