Ogilvy Düsseldorf is to be the lead marketing agency for Fressnapf
Ogilvy and Fressnapf, Europe’s market leader in pet supplies, will be working closely together in the future. From now on, the Düsseldorf-based agency will be responsible for establishing, among other things, Fressnapf’s customer relationship management programme. Ogilvy won through in a compact yet demanding competition, beating six other applicants to win the Fressnapf bid.
“Ogilvy is providing us with a professional, competent and passionate team. This is an important requirement for a task as complex as establishing a CRM programme. Moreover, by combining nearly all of our communications operations at Ogilvy, we will significantly strengthen our brand image”, says Daniel Euler, Head of Marketing at Fressnapf.
The Ogilvy pitch team was lead by Ulrich Tillmanns and Tom Schwarz, the new team in Düsseldorf.
“Working together with Fressnapf fills me with pride”, says Tillmanns. “We are doing business with a fantastic brand, which continues to assert itself in a difficult commercial environment. And we will be giving it everything we’ve got. Fressnapf demonstrates a great love of animals and the new campaign will capture this emotion”.
Fressnapf was founded in 1990 in Erkelenz. Today, there are over 1,200 Fressnapf stores across eleven European countries. Over the past year, Fressnapf made a turnover of around 1.36 billion euros from brick-and-mortar stores and in the online shop. The company headquarters is located in Krefeld (North Rhine-Westfalia, Germany).
Ogilvy & Mather was founded in 1948 in New York. Since 1989, Ogilvy & Mather, along with the entire Ogilvy group, has belonged to a network of agencies WPP Group headquartered in London. Ogilvy & Mather defines itself as a 360° complete service agency and looks after over 200 customers in Germany alone, with locations in Berlin, Düsseldorf and Frankfurt am Main.
